Jean’s Baked Apples
Ingredients
- 10 Small Dessert Apples (normal apples should work)
- 1/2 Cup Sultanas or Chopped Dates
- 1 or 2 Tablespoons of Golden Syrup or Honey
- Brown Sugar (to taste)
- 1 Tablespoon Water
- 1 Lemon Juice and Zest
Directions:
Jean made this recipe with about 10 small dessert apples, but I expect you could also do this with normal sized cooking apples:
1. Core and peel apples
2. Stuff with sultanas or chopped dates
3. Melt down in a pan:
1. 1 or 2 tblspns of golden syrup or honey with
2. Brown sugar (to taste) + 1 tblspn water
Also add to this the juice and zest of 1 lemon
3. Pour over the apples
4. Cover with foil and bake 30-40 mins in a medium oven.
