Betaferon, is a drug that confuses me greatly. I have read many conflicting, confusing reports with regard to its benefits and nasty side effects. Once upon a time I declined it, after I read about the potential side effects. Professor George Jelinek M.D. gives a very accurate and honest description of potential side effects from taking interferon drugs, under the heading Side-effects of Interferon Therapy. However a most promising story was published earlier this week, 26th Sept 08, in the Medical News Today, which makes the idea of tolerating the potential interferon negatives, tolerable.
